    Deskpro’s mission is to make service more accessible to customers and to improve agent experience through its market leading helpdesk software product. Chris Padfield, the company’s founder, had built a highly successful, profitable business but decided to look for a partner to fulfil his ambition to grow the business faster and to take the product to thousands more customers worldwide. He wanted a partner with deep experience in product-first software companies to enable Deskpro to invest in its cutting-edge product development, expand into new markets and harness the benefits of AI.

    FirstCapital advised Deskpro on its $25m Series A funding from US-based Elsewhere Partners. Using our SMART process, we worked closely with the Deskpro management team to understand and articulate the opportunity, create a robust and compelling set of marketing materials, and drive a competitive process with bids from a number of leading international investors and a highly effective negotiation phase. This allowed Chris to select his preferred partner to support the next phase of growth. Elsewhere supported the transaction by bringing in a new CEO so that Chris can focus on product strategy. They also helped to establish a new HQ in Austin, Texas and provided the investment needed to accelerate product development and expand market reach in the US and other markets.
